I recently got a flyer in the post from a well known high street retailer, you know the type – 20% off all purchases this weekend. Interested and thinking about starting Christmas shopping a bit early I turn over the post to check the catch –aka terms and conditions apply. What followed made me a laugh and annoyed at the same time.

 For the love of all things sacred “make things easy”

The above comes from a company that is could hardy be described as a leading light of the high street. I can’t help but think that the mindset that could come up with the above barriers to spending money could easily make things so difficult and uncomfortable for customers that they just go elsewhere.

So make things easy for your customers to interact with you, to be served by you, to enjoy what you do and of course make it really easy for customers to get in touch with you when things go wrong.
